Canterbury Choral Society will launch its 73rd year on Sunday, November 17, 2024 with Giuseppe Verdi’s Messa da Requiem, conducted by Jonathan De Vries, Artistic Director. A full orchestra will also perform.

Carmina Burana

Last season, we were excited to present some of choral music’s most identifiable tunes ever written. Carmina Burana is a thoroughly compelling and dynamic work; it was performed with a special orchestration featuring double piano, organ and timpani. Additional percussion included a Rosewood Xylophone, three Glockenspiels, large chimes, Sleigh Bells, a Ratchet, Bell Plate, Castanets and more!
